The important work being pursued by the MacArthur Foundation’s grantees is highlighted in two interactives with vibrant video stories and images from around the world.
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation funds thousands of individuals and institutions in about 60 countries around the world. Focusing on these remarkable grantees and their work, over 20 video vignettes give insight—through images and commentary—on their important efforts while showing the breadth of the foundation’s philanthropic initiatives. The interactive’s visually rich attract sequence brings attention to the themes in which the various stories are collected—selecting a theme brings up images for each stories in that theme, allowing visitors to have all choices immediately at their fingertips. This straightforward navigational structure supports both light browsing and extended investigation within a tapestry of striking images collected from grantees themselves.
